Suggestions for new game (R2A)  Reply with quote

It's great that a new game is coming out. Is it possible to do it before February? I'm glad you're keeping all the existing characters.

My suggestions to make the new one even better would be:
1. More challenging, especially on the Courageous and higher levels, maybe my having more baddies. I found that on Adventurous it often took 2 arrows to kill a goblin. On Courageous, the weapons are more powerful which offset the monsters having more hitpoints, so again it took about 2 arrows to kill a goblin. Having more baddies would make it more challenging.

2. Options
Have an options page where the players can choose:
Gold Sharing: 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 or no sharing. I haven't heard good things about the common pool of gold in BG:DA2.

PVP (Player vs Player): None, Area spells only (ie fireball), spells & arrows only, and full PVP.

3. Zoom level - especially for one player games. Why not be able to zoom right in if there is only one player? I see the point for 2 or more players. You guys spent a lot of time on the graphics, why not let everyone enjoy them?

4. Export characters. Would you be able to export your characters from R2A to the first game?

Anyways, that is my 2 cents worth.

Thanks in advance....

Here's a new suggestion I've not seen on the boards yet.
How about an option to play as Single Player but with multiple characters.
Choice up up to 4 in your party for example.
Each character could then be set with it's own type of artificial intelligence. The Single Player deciding on what skills to level up on each character and how they want each charater to react (Melee, Support, Ranger, Random for example).

This could then be incorporate into some sort of PVP (Party versus Party) battles.

Can't really see this happening for the new game but bear this in mind for future sequels. I'm chuckling to myself just thinking what a laugh Party versus Party gang fights would be on-line.

I cannot emphasize these enough:

1.More evil pc races (trolls, minotaurs, cyclopes etc...)

2.Get rid of SOE! They are evil!

What's so bad about SOE? Other than their CON rush job... have they done anything else wrong?

SOE  Reply with quote

I had the same problems.
I worked my ass off at everquest and they deleted my characters off of the servers. I complained and they basically said "who cares".
Screw SOE. I will never play another regular Everquest game again.
I would like to see Snowblind do something new.
Not D&D (even though I love it)
Not Everquest.
Something totally new and played like CON.
A whole new world with new rules.
That would definitely be cool.
well. gotta go.
