If you want another game lie this on the Xbox you'll have to wait until inXile finish The Bard's Tale.

Which, by the way, is going to be awesome. And it is running off a modified Champions of Norrath engine (or so the gaming sites say).

I thought it was running on a modified DA1 engine from what I'd heard, which makes sense seeing as Bard's Tale has been in development for years, and there's no CoN engine on XBox.

I'm guessing that is the case as well and that the sites I've seen are just confused. Certainly wouldn't mind it using the CoN engine, though Smile

If you haven't seen it yet, check out inXile's website . If Bard's Tale is even half as funny as this site is, I'll be one happy camper.

As another big plus, the devs have said "it'll be ready when it's ready" and aren't working to any deadlines or publisher pressures, so it should have a hell of a lot of care and attention in it.

From the quality of the graphics in screenshots, I'd say it's closer to the CoN version of the engine (after all, the functional interactive components are about the same)

There are some bits that are even way beyond CoN, there's one shot I've seen where a light source is shining through a shelf full of multicoloured potions, and all the colours blend on the other side.

If that's a dynamic effect, I think I may cream my pants.

The engine is the same for all of them. The Champions engine is an advanced version of the DA engine, but the engine is similar, just in a more polished form. Combat Elite: WWII Paratroopers uses the engine as well as The Bard's Tale.

I can't wait for The Bard's Tale... it looks great.

Just the fact that it is making fun of RPG cliches makes me enthusiastic to play it Very Happy

Would be nice of Bard's Tale was multiplayer. I'm disappointed that it isn't when it seems like it could easily be done.
