Attack glitch does not work offline!  Reply with quote

The game breaking attack glitch everyone is talking about ONLY works online, meaning the game is still awesome. Smile

It also means the glitch was Sonys fault, and Snowblind should not let them anywhere near their next game. Snowblind should make their own series using the same action RPG engine from Champions Of Norrath, so Sony cant screw it up.

Every post about it (deleted or not) has said it's only online - welcome to the past tense. That doesn't change things for the many people who bought the game FOR it's online features.

As a solo player, go have a blast. Despite the numerous other bugs, and a few goofy quests it's a wonderful game overall with fantastic graphics. Even if that glitch was in solo play, you don't have to use it so it'd still be no big deal.

But online multi-play was the big deal of this game and is a big deal for many players. You might not use it, but others are in growing numbers. All fun is sapped out when you have to babysit your server, kick people, reload, babysit again... etc I bought the game for online (like some others) and this glitch was the last straw IMHO.

Also, the only way that the glitch is Sony-the publisher's fault and not Snowblind-the developer's fault (they made the game) is if SB protested the release before it shipped. They haven't claimed that yet, so I won't just automatically buy it. As for now, they both are at fault for taking my $$$ with a beta, but I'll leave the blame of all the glitches being in it, including the one you brought up, to Snowblind.

Hopefully Snowblind, if they did protest the release, will prevent any publisher from doing this in the future. It hurts their rep and lowers their ability to negotiate better deals with future publishers. Finally, they need to post this sentence on a nametag and give it to every employee working on their next title to avoid the CoN debacle - "It will be ready only when it's ready".

sadly enuff with so many games coming out etc, everything is rushed. most have a budget and time frame that shipping the game when its fully ready is going to end up with going over the budget, endless delays and when it does hit the street, its old compared to the new stuff thats out. PC gamers have a slight break, u'll end up beta testing a retail game 6 mths after its out with constant patches b4 its actually ready. But at least the games get patched. Hopefully with the new HD most newer games can be patched or we'll see an endless cycle of what we are seeing here.
