WB Games Inc. seeks a Senior Data Analyst for the WBG Development department. Key elements of the role include designing, developing, documenting and maintaining ETL processes for gameplay data for User Research / Usability department. The role requires both analytical and creative abilities to structure analysis of gameplay data and present clear learnings to a variety of functional groups. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the video game/computer/entertainment industry in a similar role.
  • Design, develop, and own standard dashboards/reports that provide concise intelligence across business units (game development professionals, operations team members, and design engineers) using data gathered from multiple sources.
  • Design, develop, document and maintain ETL processes in support of reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Perform QA testing and data validation on ETL processes and reports to ensure quality control.
  • Design, develop, document and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Support and maintain database and report delivery tools.
  • BS in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical fields required (MS preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in performing quantitative analysis/reporting.
  • Expert Level knowledge of relational databases, schema design, and database performance.
  • Batch scripting and automation techniques.
  • Excel at documenting database architectures, and processes.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Data Warehousing/ETL environments.
  • 3+ years’ experience gathering business requirements and performing data analysis.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in SQL development and tuning.
  • Programming skills (PHP, JavaScript, C#/ASP.NET, LINQ, Hadoop) to crawl websites and develop custom reporting tools is preferred.
  • Have a working knowledge of statistics with an ability to distinguish signal from noise.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau or similar BI tools.
  • Exceptional communications skills: written, verbal as well as presentation abilities that are necessary to explain results effectively.
