SUMMARY OF POSITION
WB Games Inc. seeks a Manager of IT – Infrastructure to manage the development and timely implementation of IT systems projects. In this role, you will manage project scope, resources and timelines to ensure efficient allocation of system administration resources and oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure operations. As a technology leader, you will supervise and coach the System Administration group as well as collaborate closely with business process owners to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects within the system administration team. Track deliverables, milestones and resources to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of the System Administration function, to include training, coaching, organizing, planning, and staffing operations.
  • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of server, network and telecommunications systems.
  • Promote implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Participate in the development of IT strategy in collaboration with WB Games developers, central WBG IT organization, and the executive team.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Manage and track local IT spending to established budgets.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associates’ degree with equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Understanding of the game industry.
  • Solid project management expertise.
  • Proven management and leadership experience.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
